Insurance plans often require prior authorization for several reasons, such as when a medication is high in cost, when there are less expensive alternatives available, or to ensure the drug is being used for its approved purpose.
The timeline can vary depending on the insurance company and how quickly we receive the required information from your doctor's office. Our team works diligently to manage the process and follow up proactively to help secure a decision as quickly as possible.
